Twilight Criterium- an artistic approach

If I was still in my painting phase, I would paint this.

Racers in the Pro Women’s category race during Twilight Criterium, a professional cycling event held in Athens, Ga. on Saturday, April 26 2008.

Twilight Criterium, Athen’s annual Bike race was held this weekend downtown. It was a beautiful sight to behold. There were about a million people there, well at least that’s what it felt like when I got stuck in a human mob on Clayton Street. The race was amazing though, with lots of laps, and lots of intense bikers. It’s kind of nerve-wracking though, watching all of those bikers so close to each other. There was this one really intense crash, where bikers were biking over other’s bikes. I had to turn away, it was to much to bear.

  1. I really like that last shot–cool angle. Also, that was an awesome night! we should go every year we can.
